From 20 March to 6 April Vilnius Gabija Progymnasium hosted a children’s artwork competition “Return of the Birds 2023”.
An exhibition of birds made using various techniques was held. The pupils also worked on descriptions of the birds of Lithuanian meadows.
The competition was attended by pupils from grades 5-8.
The jury judged the students’ entries and selected the winners, whose entries were the most interesting and beautiful and whose descriptions were the most informative.
After talking to the organiser of the competition, Neringa Jagelienė, we learnt that the aim of the competition is to reveal the talents of students and broaden their horizons. In preparation for the competition, the pupils learned more about Lithuanian meadow birds and new handicraft techniques.
