Does fashion affect the environment

Fast fashion is a fashion that fades away quickly. It involves the rapid design and production of clothing that is characterized by low price and poor quality.

According to the UN, the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of carbon dioxide emissions. Water and soil that receive chemicals needed in the production of clothes also suffer. Countries with the largest fast fashion production, such as China, Pakistan and Bangladesh, suffer the most.

However, we can limit fast fashion in our lives by, for example, giving our clothes a second life by altering them or giving them to someone, using the so-called bought clothes for as long as possible, thoughtful purchases or shopping in second-hand stores. Also pay attention to clothing brands and support those that want and they try to do something good for our planet.
