The International Solar Energy Society (ISES-Europe) has declared May 3 as Solar Day. This day is dedicated to drawing attention to the possibilities of solar energy. The holiday has been celebrated since 1994.
The sun, wind, and sea waves are excellent sources of energy, however, people do not reach for this type of energy as much as they should. In addition, using this energy does not change the energy balance of the planet, as well as the production of such energy is environmentally friendly.
On the Day of the Sun, professionals and enthusiasts, public organizations from all over Europe organize various events that demonstrate the possibilities of solar energy, exchange experience, and implement international projects. Solar-powered car competitions, seminars, exhibitions, and other types of events are organized.
